Agreed !
I just bought this over the weekend and it has been getting
heavy rotation ever since. These guys think way out of the box.
Each song is like a 4-5 minute opera with a thousand little parts.
They definately were influenced by Bohemian Rhapsody

I think the influence of their heritage definitely comes thru on their songwriting. They come at music from a different angle than most metal bands.

System Of A Down ROCK!!! I haven't got their new one, but the other albums are great. I saw a live concert if their's on TV last week... they look so eccentric compared to most other modern metal bands. I love Daron Malakian, the lead guitarist... a gurning short guy with a receeding mullet!

AGHHH!!! I have had these guys shoved down my throat at every teenage party that has happened at our house for the last few years. I was origanally into them but the number of times that I had to endure Angels deserve to die I just lost it completely with this band. I know thats not fair on the band , but I am a grumpy old man so I gots my rights

Dragged out Bellavista Terrace by The Go-Betweens.

Great tunes, another band sadly ignored by the public.

Just spinning the new Richmond Fontaine album, 'The Fitzgerald'. It's bleak and beautiful... an album of story-songs in the Tom Joad mold. I don't think it's out in the US till next month, but it's well worth seeking out...

I picked up the new System Of A Down too... I agree Cale and Gibson, it's a mighty beast of demented rawk!!!

The Fitzgerald is easily up there with Low's Great Destroyer for me as album of the year. These guys cannot put a foot wrong....an amazing album.Willy Vlautin is far and away the best lyricist of recent years.

The Beatles - Live at the BBC
Massive Attack - 100th Window (not, because my PC won't play the copy "fucking" controlled cd)
Mark Olson & Creekdippers Champaign 17/04/2005
Prince - Greatest Hits 1979-1993
Jayhawks - SOL
