I played the James Blackshaw album All Is Falling a couple of times today. Gorgeous instrumental album, highly recommended for lovers of music sans voce.

Drive-By Truckers most of the day here. Sometimes I don't play them for months and then when I do, I often think they are one of the best bands in the world. Strange that.

One of my fave songs this year has been Sufjan Stevens song called Djohariah. Named after his sister, it's a 17 minute long guitar freak out like Maggot Brain coupled with cool 70's harmonies.

Shouldn't you have posted that in the Not playing at work thread?

Ryan Bingham - Junky Star. Fantastic album. Slower burner than the other for sure, but just as lasting and full of depth

Blue Mountain 'Dog Days' Remaster (not that the original is less--the best songs are there...).
Nice extra tracks though, very, very nice!

I pimp this radio station website quite a bit, but a studio performance/interview with the Black Keys from Monday. The addition of keys to the Keys' songs adds a nice element. It is really hitting the spot this morning. I really regret not grabbing tickets before their show sold out the last time that they were in town.

The new Decemberists single January Hymn backed with Row Jimmy. Looking forward to the album in the '11.

I don't know how you people listen to so much music at work. I can't possibly concentrate on music and still get work done.

Who said anything about getting anything done?

I am now trying to make my way through that new Springsteen one, The Promise. It's a big old unit.
