I was at Tuesday's show, and it was excellent. The setlist was great, and the band looked to be having a great time (which is not something I sensed during the MT tour). Chet is a great addition to the band as well. Fingers crossed they make it to Chicago again at some point.

Loving these setlists. Almost like Springsteen having a night 1 and night 2 set built around a small core of songs.

Night 1 is a super strong set - great that Bottomless Cup is in there, although Big Star, Aint no End, Trouble, Ohio and Tailspin would be great additions to the night 1 set (and a couple of others such as Man who loved life, Dying on the vine, Baby, Baby, Baby...) So many great songs to pick from.

So, C'mon Gary, if you are going to go all Boss on us by having night 1 and night 2 setlists, go the whole hog and play 3 1/2 hour sets as well........you know we want you to

This show was significant in that it was the first time in a *long* time that "Blue" was not played. Neither was "I'm Gonna...", so two perennial setlist staples were not performed. "Stick in the Mud" was also on the setlist, but unfortunately was not performed.

Big props to the band for playing such a different set each night. That was a real treat for those of us fortunate enough to attend both shows.

Gary thanked the repeat customers--no, thank you!

Yes my observation exactly. I was hoping for a few years now that Gary would have the guts to drop it and he did. I remember back in 2004 in his 'experimental' show in Madrid he mentioned about those staples that "I can't play these songs forever". Thank god the Jayhawks are NOT the Eagles and stay relevant and innovative.
