Madison show tonight!

Anyone else going other than myself and the Zombie? Take a drive, folks. Madison is close - provided you live in the upper midwest, that is.

That´s a set list! And Bottomless Cup!!! Just hope they keep it for the whole tour! I mean the song, never have heard it live and it´s one of my favourite songs from Sound of Lies. Thanks for the info, I guess it was a great night.

It was indeed. Can never get enough Tim tunes in a set, imo. The "new guy" (as Gary put it) Chet was terrific. He played the hell out of the Jaguar (with some nice EBow textures on a few tunes), plus acoustic and pedal steel. He was really enjoying himself up there. Looks to be a great fit.

Wish I could have been there

Looks like a great show to see. Great set list. I hope they roll out "Ace" at some point. I bet Leaving the Monsters Behind was a great way to start the show! Lies In Black and White is another one that should be played. Looking forward to Rocky Mount!

It was.

Gary and Karen sing, "I don't want to fight" and then Tim and Chet come in with, "don't want to fight". Damn, that chorus is so good. Sticks in your head.

Random thoughts on a rainy night in Madison, from the caffeine-scrambled brain of a zombie:

Folk Uke were very entertaining. I laughed a lot!

Pretty cover of "California Stars" was a nice surprise.

Loved their songs, "S**t Makes The Flowers Grow" and "BJ To A DJ".

Nice to see Perlman come out and play bass with them.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thought the Jayhawks sounded great, especially for opening night of a tour.

If they're this good already, just think how fantastic they'll be by the time they get to New York.

Crowd was decent, the theater was pretty full.

Chet Lyster is a solid addition to the band. He and Perlman had a great time on that side of
the stage. I don't think I've seen Marc smile so much throughout a show, ever!

New stuff all sounds better live.

That encore was super. Might be one of the best ones I've seen at a Jayhawks show. It's funny, I was
just commenting the other day to someone that "I'll Be Your Key" is this album's "Broken Harpoon".
And then they go into "Broken Harpoon" right after "I'll Be Your Key".

"Tomorrow The Green Grass" was a MAJOR SURPRISE. Wow!

Thought they were done after "Tailspin", but then they blew the roof off the theater with "Baby, Baby, Baby".
