Ahh yes, the jello incident of 1999. It involved a kick ass party at my house (I've been having kick ass parties at least once a year for the past 6 years, and there's always been some kind of drama... but we finally broke that curse this year.) with lots of friends and strangers. Started getting my drink on around 7pm. My friend and I decided to make jello shots. Except, we just made 3 boxes of jello and just fixed it in a big punch bowl. 3 cups of cheap vodka (it was either Nicholai or Vladimir, I can't remember) and 3 cups of boiling water... it was very potent. Anyway, pretty much everyone else who was there thought it was too strong. I was just like, "Hey guys, come on! Just let it slide right down your throat... you won't even taste it!" But after a few spoonfuls, they all decided to stop. So I ended up being pretty much the only one who was eating this jello. And needless to say, I finished it. Plus, I was drinking vodka & whatever kind of juice we had in the fridge, right along with it. This is the only time that I've ever been so drunk that I couldn't remember things I had said the next day. And apparantly, I pissed some people off. I definately blacked out for a few hours. Around, I don't know, let's say 10:30pm, I started feeling pretty sick, as you can imagine. I was up half the night hugging my toilet, crying for help and wishing I was dead so that I wouldn't be in so much agony. It was a learning experience, to say the least.

Hey Poorlittlefish

Thanks for the story! We've all had those experiences! My worst story was this one time in college with me and a bottle of rum. Yucky, to this day I can't drink rum.

Anodyne -

You're welcome! Rum, huh? I watched a group of my friends pass a bottle of Puerto Rican rum around in a game for a pile of money for the "winner" who finished it off. Half of them ended up losing their stomachs an hour later.

Pretty cool, but change this part to...

"Around 10:30am, I started feeling pretty sick, as you can imagine."

-It sounds cooler if you stayed up until the next morning...

I'm a traditionalist...

An Irish whiskey (preferably Jameson) in my right hand, and a Miller Light in my left to chase. And LakesMan.... it's never too early.

wha??????

prune juice is in Dr. Pepper??? Eegad, that just states my case even clearer.....no wonder I feel that way about it.....

hydration drinks work great for hangovers, big reason why we get hangovers is cuz we're dehydrated from the alcohol.....

in college I discovered a Wendy's chicken sandwich w/mayo, pickle/lettuce w/an ice cold fountain coca-cola did it everytime....cured me up right away, and I don't know why, but it became my standard cure.

don't really ever get hangovers much from "just beer" tho, unless I've really outdone myself on it, which isn't often at all, guess I've "grown up" you might say.......

so nonetheless, I really must still request for you to:

MICROBREWME BABY!

I have to mention that the only time I tried a Bloody Mary I was blown away. What a great way to start a morning!

I didn't see a single Bloody Mary listed on the thread so I thought I'd mention it.
