So Long Jill Munroe, You Iconic Fox

Farrah Fawcett was one of a kind to guys from my generation. She was one of the few "older women" that the 13-18 age group of guys really saw as being out of this world attractive and totally cool. That's how I will always remember it anyway.

What a symbol of the 70's she was! By 1977 I think that about 90% of the girls in my high school were trying to copy her hairstyle so that they too could be seen as being just that soooo cool.
I said "won't you tell me where you've been?"
You put a finger to my lips
And then you kissed me once and once again
The crickets all leapt up and met the moon with a standing ovation.

This is sad, only 62 years of age too. Yeah, I have to admit, I knew a lot of fellas with the famous swimsuit poster.

I was a big Charlie's Angels fan as a kid, I even had a Jill Munroe doll.
Yeah...that poster of her with her smile...she seemed so fragile and sweet.

I was a tot when Charlie's Angels was on tv...I never had the Jill Munroe doll, but I remember getting the Bionic Woman doll for Christmas when I was three...that was one cool pull back her skin on her arms and there would be electronic stuff underneath.

Yeah, sad stuff. I think everyone who came up in the 70's either loved the show or just loved watching her.

so long jill munroe

Farrah Fawcett was a wonderful symbol of the 70s and all of my girlfriends and I copied the hairstyle. The coverage of her struggle with cancer really touched me. Rest in peace.
