I should be lashed with.....

But, I'm going to speak anyway. Hello, old friends...those who remember me...just thought I'd let you guys know...we've finally finished our album...check out a few tracks, pre-mastered, for it is in production, the CD that is, and should be here in 2 weeks.

Here's the link....

http://www.myspace.com/nationalera1

For those who need reminding and have the tribute disc we coved "Over My Shoulder" on the tribute.

I hope everyone is well, and maybe this, and pushing this music onto you fellas will get me back involved here...no promises, for my internet habits have changed...with kids, job, and no Jayhawks records...etc...

email me, if anyone wants to order this there CD, in 2 weeks...It'll cost ya 10 bucks...unless you go by the moniker Calexico, for I owe that bastard...

Chris Laney

I've been a friend on your site for a while. I knew there was a JH fanpage connection but I could'nt figure out who it was. Glad to get that worked out.

We recorded at Butler Sound Studio...a bandmember's studio...we're quite lucky to have the facility at our avail. However, having that at our disposal, tends to slow down the recording process...for good and bad.

Thanks for the kind words...once I have copies in my hands I'll take orders...I think we're gonna go with $10...that will cover shipping as well.

Great news!

I remember when you posted a demo version of 'Missed You' here a while back, and I actually put it on a mix for my wife and daughter just last weekend!

So happy to see this. Your track from the Tribute was just terrific, and I'm sure this will be great. Save me one!

I'm also in the band with Chris (and also an infrequent poster, although I peruse the board quite often). Thanks for the positive comments. I recently finished a solo e.p. with songs inspired by the summer months. You can check out the lo-fi myspace page at: www.myspace.com/thehouseofsummernights
I've got the disc available through CD Baby or as a digital download on iTunes if you are interested.

all those people releasing solo albums. They should be in a band.

And call it The Jayhawks.

Remember those times?
