Talking Washington 9/28 + 9/29

Hi,

Saw the band on 9/28 and 9/29 with LW. I skipped out for Lucinda because I prefer Aimee Mann for sad girl rock. They played most of the songs from RDM between the two shows (Save it x2, Tailspin x2, All The Right Reasons, Angelyne x2, See you in heaven, sarah jane) with a mixture of tunes from the older albums. I think they played Waiting for the sun x2 and they ended both nights with the Sister Cry guitar extravaganza that was fantastic. This is my 3rd and 4th time seeing the 'hawks and I've been a fan since I was eleven and they simply kick more ass than I have to give. haha.

I didn't get any pictures of Steve (I ran out of space on my digi) but here's what I got:

Sister Cry was stellar in London as well... amazing.

Thanks for the pics and review Ben!

Am not a fan of Lucinda, so I did not hang around for either of her performances. Sorry I couldn't help!

Backup on Essence

I went to the Sunday Jayhawks show at the 9:30 club & Gary did not come out to sing backup with LW during Essence. However, he did sing backup on this song at the Tower Theater show last Saturday night. It sounded great! I'm still waiting to hear them do "Balitmore Sun" live (they didn't play this at either show I attended). Maybe next time there in the DC/Philly area?
