The show in Denver Friday night was a smashing success! The sound was excellent and the turnout impressive. The band was in top form (Karen really seemed to be digging the whole thing). My sister from Seattle came out. She loved it so much, she'll be going in February in her hometown.

Oops. I forgot to add that Karen's family was in the balcony cheering her on.

Denver

Whew, after an 8 hour drive from Telluride to Denver on Friday (snowing heavily when I left T-Ride but cleared up an hour out of town and trip was uneventful) I had my passes at Will Call and The Boys and Karen were quite gracious when I met them in the 'Green' room. We had a few minutes to catch up on things before they went on and performed a GREAT show to what seemed like a sold out house. The sound was excellent and the crowd responded positively...maybe 600 people or so..it was fantastic. I hope they have a succesful tour and I still want them to grace the stage of
the Telluride Bluegrass Festival...they are the Best!!

Telluride to Denver? Most impressive. You are true Jayhawker. The band should send you a t shirt for driving over the Continental Divide to see them. Did you happen to drive over Monarch Pass? That and the road to Silverton is tricky business in the snow..

That is the gal who played with Justin Townes Earle. He also had a girl on stand up bass. The three were excellent.
