Does anyone know where I could get a copy of Saturdays show in Madison? Please let me know, thanks.
This became an instant classic the first time I heard it! Story of my life . . .

"stirring a tin cup with a siver spoon".
I absolutely love that lyric. It condenses such a multi-faceted emotion into eight simple words.

Ain't No End
---------------

Pick up the pieces and pack up your mind
You don't ask for what you have to find
Many people rolling out to sea
Let loose those floodgates that have held you back so long

Isn't that one of the most "fuck this I am outta here" lyrics you ever heard!

I have my first fave Olson/Louris lyric ~

"Then came disappointment
The path for my feet
When I was around you
What's found is yours to keep"

A great opening to a great song. {I think I got it right.... )

I don't know why, but the I remember that sticking in my head the first time I listened to 'Blue Earth' out somewhere on I-35 twixt Minnesota and Texas.
That, and "I know the hotel clerk he lied, I followed her from the west side" (and I'd never been to Sioux City...)

Wow, I haven't seen this thread in a while. I think I started this not too long after I joined the Board. I was mortified when I realized I'd spelled Hawks wrong. I tried to change it, but to no avail.

I'd like to add a line from True Blue. It's a great opening line, but hearing my 3 year old sing it and get the words wrong makes it even better. It just paints a great picture:

Rusty wire
Bent to make a fence
Rows and rows of houses...
