Giggage

Lot of Jayhakwian gig action in and around the UK shortly. Unfortunately, this time I just can't swing it and it looks like a Dublin slot is a no go. Big shame that. Enjoy the gigs all those who are heading off to them!

There was almost a Dublin gig, but it fell through. The planning for this tour didn't really start until a month ago and that is actually very little lead time given the way many venues are now booked. It's not uncommon for some venues to book shows 4-6 months in advance which makes tour planning even more difficult than it already is. In some ways, the band was lucky to get the gigs for this summer that they did. The good news is that if things go well the rest of the year - and I have no reason to think that they won't - there's always 2015...

I'm trying to avoid burdening you too much, sacredroots, as you get so many questions and do a great job answering them (thanks so much!), but if you have any info you are able and willing to share about tour plans for the rest of the year, specifically the West Coast, I'd be very appreciative.

US/Canada tour plans are being formulated now but nothing is finalized. Best guess is that things kick off late Sept/early Oct. And, yes, West Coast is definitely on the radar.

A Minnesota date was just announced yesterday, "HazelFest" on August 2 in Center City:

And there will be a big announce next Tuesday for something a bit closer to MSP.

Thank you! I'm hoping for an LA show at the Largo or the Troubadour. Gotta save some vacation time for what will probably be the live music highlight of the year for me, besides Rich Robinson's tour.

Just to keep this thread near the top, and for the West Coast fans, I'll just reiterate here that Gary says the West Coast dates won't be until early 2015.

I think he said the South would be in the fall of this year.

Early 2015 makes sense for the west coast. If they start in the US and Canada in the fall, take a break for the holidays, then they'd hit the road again early 2015.

Looking forward to it big time. If they play SF and LA we might try to catch both spots. The Fillmore seems a favorite venue for the band. Great place for gigs.
