Haha. "The Jayhawks are has-beens." Right. Like Buffalo Springfield. Who'd want to see a headliner like that?

Uncertain? doubt it
Sluggish? Well, there is such a thing as jet lag, I suppose.
As for the acid kicking in, well, it's a little stronger than 5 cups of coffee I suppose.
As for the lady on the bus who thinks Roseanne Cash is less of a has-been, well, maybe SHE was on acid.

There is a photo of Gary and Roseanne up on the Jayhawks facebook page from last weekend's show. Very cool! Plus, I love Gary's Golden Smog take on Seven Year Ache.

Your sarcasm filter might be broken, samntuck. That was precisely my point. I'd kill to see Buffalo Springfield in concert, whether they are "has-beens" or not.

+1 on seeing B.S. and that "ain't no B.S."

The only other reunion band that could get me to drive to Chicago to see them is Buffalo Springfield.

I think he poked you with that comeback, Mr. Eugene.
As for killing to see Buffalo Springfield, there's this girl I used to date who probably would pay you to take me out (seeing how her life fell apart after she dumped me). Her dad thinks I broke her heart, and well, he's got a lot of money. Probably pay you enough to fly to a Springfield show at the locale of your choice, and throw in extra $$ for video footage.
All you have to do is make him pay up front, then take me to the show with you, then, I suppose, my bucket list will be satisfied.

""Hide Your Colours" and "Closer to Your Side", both rooted in '60s pop."

As far as I'm concerned that's great news. I've always preferred the more Americana-rock-pop (I dare not say alt-country) side of the Jayhawks (at its peak on TTGG) than the hard core country twang side. <ducking>.
