Gary and The Sadies
Looks like Gary will be producing the next Sadies' record. They'll be heading into the studio this Fall.
Anyone heard anything about the rest of the reissues? On a separate note, I emailed TOR to see if he'd be willing to do another fanpage interview. If I hear anything I'll let the board know.

Great idea! Talked to Tim -a big pleasure for me- in March in Edinburgh after the show, and asked about his solo plans for the future, but it doesn´t look like he has any plans to release more solo albums. What is a big shame!

I love any post with this title!!
How did you hear this news, is there an article you can post? Just realized last night that the Sadies were playing in Brooklyn....argghh! I wish I had known, I would have gone (and I would have brought a special jayhawks fan with me )I've said it before, but must say it again, the Sadies have to be seen live to be believed! |

I should have put the link. Here it is:
http://exclaim.ca/News/sadies_join_neil_young_crazy_horse_tour_set_sights _on_new_album_2 I really like their last album. That was kind of my introduction to them. Sounds like Gary's not taking much of a break. I guess if you're a music man by trade, you just keep making music.

Thanks for the link, Bryguy!
(and I had the date wrong for the Sadies in Brooklyn - it's tonight, and I'm going!) |

Saw the Sadies last night, and they were GREAT, as usual. Sadly, not a huge crowd. Once again, I was watching magic happen onstage with a band that I love, and wondering why there weren't a thousand people there! At least the people who were there seemed to appreciate them, and they played just a well and enthusiastically as they have in the past, regardless of the crowd size. They are sooo talented! My friend really loved them too, so that was a big plus!
We spoke briefly with the bass (stand up!) player, Sean Dean, who was very sweet. He talked a bit about how Gary Louris is such a wonderful producer to work with. All in all, fun night! |

That's great to hear that they put on a good show! They're of course pretty popular still in their hometown of Toronto. They just recently had a show at the Horseshoe with Andre Williams. Unfortunately I had to miss it, but I hear it was fun.
Sean's a pretty nice guy and it's good to hear he enjoys working with Gary. |
