Hey riflesport,

" I gotta laugh @ the Haight/Ashbury reference - shit half the board members have never probably heard of that local/city area "

S'funny, I had always assumed that the icon of "Haight/Ashbury" was international, popular culture...at least across certain age groups, call me naive. In 1998 I went to SF to attend an Irish dance convention. I was so excited to do one of my fav things and at the same time go on a pilgrimage as it were. I took another dancer, older than me, on a little tour of the neighbourhood. I was shocked when he told me he had never heard of "Haight/Ashbury" or it's cultural...eh-hmm, significance. I remember thinking, "what freaking rock have you been living under." Then I asked him what sort of music he listened to. I think he said Bob Seger or something, or maybe it was something worse than that. Anyway, I understood after that.

BTW, I had an altogether great few days in that wonderful city. I was surprised by all the homeless folks though.

Oh, I really wasn't being literal about the Haight/Ashbury thing. I'm 28, and really just lifted that line off "the Common Man" Dan Cole from KFAN sports talk radio here in Mpls. It's just kind of a funny line.

Should be fun in Madison. The guy at the box office told me to get there early cause it's gonna be PACKED. I'm a little bit claustophobic too, but it's worth it. I'm gonna just have to suck it up (aka..lots of Jack & Cokes) and have a good time.

I'd be happy if they just sang the ABC's, but if I could choose a setlist (don't you hate when people do this?) it would be...

Two Angels
I'd Run Away
Clouds
Crowded in the Wings
Over My Shoulder
Baltimore Sun
Ann Jane
Take Me With You When You Go
Two Hearts
Falling Star
See Him On The Street
Trouble
Waiting For the Sun
-encore-
Martin's Song
Up Above My Head
Blue

Except they aren't too clever with their geography - from their beer menu:

Mcewan’S Scotch Ale - Ireland

Someone tell them that the clue is in the title.

Also, someone tell them that Strongbow isn't beer.
