I was there. It was all right.

As you might expect, The Jayhawks were just a featured guest for a short slot in the show, during which Gary bantered with Luke Burbank for a few innocuous questions followed by an uneven performance of "Quiet Corners & Empty Spaces." The real highlights were the Mayor vs. Mayor on John Mayer trivia contest between Mpls. Mayor Betsy Hodges and StP. Mayor Chris Coleman, as well as the Battle of the Pitchmen between Fancy Ray McCloney and Tom Bodett.

After the show proper, the Jayhawks came out to play 2 more numbers - "Blue," of course, and "Tailspin." You can hear all of this material on the Live Wire Radio website.

The Fitz is a nice theater. Always a pleasure to see a show there. I've been up front and far in the balcony, and there's not a bad seat in the house. This show was interesting in that regard because it was general admission - getting there early meant front or front-ish seats, which I had with ease.
