Superb show. Great duo and harmonies. Gary and Django had fun playing too. Small crowd of maybe 50 people but this was a pretty small place. Opened with "Waiting for the First Time" and they nailed it. I think they did this one to start in NYC too. My friend Will enjoyed Make An Entrance since he is expecting a boy in July. I thought In Every Window, Night Falls Early, Sullivan's Ghost, One Eyed Crier, King of the Valley were all just so well done. Ended set with Baby on Trial which was fun. Encore brought us David Bowie's "Starman" cover. Gary is so good at this one. I think it is on Golden Smog's Blood on the Slacks EP. Thought we might be treated with something from Vagabonds but settled with a song from Rainy Day Music. Gary mentioned April 29th as a release date for the new Jayhawks record. That sounds like good news. Bottom line...see Au Pair....buy Au Pair....enjoy Au Pair. Nice breath of fresh air after 3 feet of snow!@
