John Jackson played a lot more guitar (acoustic/Telecaster) last night. Still played
mandolin and violin on a few numbers.

Gary played a vintage Fender Jazzmaster on several songs.

How did the Jazzmaster sound? That's been my number one "I really wish I had one of those" guitars for a few months now.

Nice show it was! Lots of new songs, plenty of old, and of course all of the familiar faces always make the night much more enjoyable!

Gary is really smitten with that Jazzmaster, which features heavily on the new album. Combined with Gary's new vintage Supro amp (bye bye AC30) it sounded like a million bucks. The roof in the First Ave mainroom is 3 feet higher thanks to a recent remodel so when things were really cranked it sounded damn near like an arena show.
