He played with a new band at the cancer trust gig I think. Also he has released a seven song 7 inch single with his "new punk band". How tedious.

He played 2 new songs at the Royal Albert Hall... I couldn't make it, but by all accounts it was a phenomenal gig.

His band was:
- Ethan Jones - Lead Guitar
- Don Was - Bass
- Jeremy Stacey - drums
(Noel Gallagher's drummer and brother of Paul Stacey who's played with the Black Crowes and Chris Robinson)
- Cindy Cashdollar - Pedal Steel
- Benmont Tench - keyboards (Tom Petty's Heartbreakers)

Setlist:
Dirty Rain
Ashes and Fire
Winding Wheel
Fix It
Where We Met In My Mind*
Loaf of Bread (improv)
Please Don’t Let Me Go
Why Do They Leave?
Invisible Riverside
Let It Ride
Nobody Girl
In The Shadows Again*

Solo Acoustic
Oh My Sweet Carolina
English Girls Approximately

Dear John
Do I Wait

Encore
I Love You But I Don’t Know What To Say
Come Pick Me Up

*new songs

Ethan Johns, no?

Songs here. Not great quality and, to my ears anyway, pretty boring.

You guys are aggressively blase about Ryan... I'd have loved to have been at that show.

Though I agree that those 2 new songs do sound quite boring from a bad quality audience recording... the rest of the set looks pretty damn fine to me, and looks like a great (one off?) band he played with too.

And yes, Ethan Johns... I copied that from some moron over at a Ryan board.
Never spotted that one... I did change Bermond Trench (or something like that) to Benmont Tench.

Aggressively blase is quite an achievement I reckon.:)

Oh yeah, it was meant as a huge compliment.
