I'm sure some of you have been to the Basillica shows in the past, and I've never been and don't know what to expect.

How large of a crowd do you expect at the Jayhawks stage when they play?

Do you think there will be friends/musicians that join them on stage, like Kraig or Jim, or others (I hope so)?

Will they do any covers?

How much are beers and what kind might they sell?

Man, I sure hope the weather is good that day. Would they play even if it rains?

I'm also curious where people are coming from to see them play. We're coming from Nebraska.

1. There will be a big crowd at a smaller stage.
2. I guess lots of friends show, but one or none play
3. One cover
4. Sponsered by Michelob, lots of MGD and Mike's hard lemonade

These are all guesses, except for 4.

Number 4 might be priced approaching 2 digits, so bring your airplane-sized 'bump' bottles and buy a 5-dollar 7-UP once in awhile...

The last time I was there they also did the food ticket thing, so you have to budget your tickets.

Or just eat before or after, which is what my friends and I did.

If it rains the show will probably go on. This is what happened last year.

Severe weather brought an abrupt halt to the Basilica Block Party in downtown Minneapolis Friday evening.

A storm moved in around 8:30pm and sent an estimated 8,000-10,000 concertgoers running for shelter inside parking ramps and under a highway overpass.

Strong winds blew over some of the concession tents but no injuries were reported.

Organizers say everything went according to plan. Once the storm passed, the Basilica Block Party resumed.

Elsewhere in the metro, storms packing winds in excess of 60 mph knocked down trees and power lines.

Xcel Energy reported more than 24,000 people were without power in the Twin Cities as of 9:45 p.m. Friday.

The forecast now is 30% chance of rain with just isolated t-storms and perfectly sunny the next day. My bet is it will be awesome weather for the Jayhawks.

It seems the local weather people here in Des Moines can't get it right either...LOL!!! A few weeks ago they predicted a sunny day no rain, etc...well by the time 4pm rolls around we start getting a lot of wind and rain. :p :(

They'll save it for a rainy day.
