Attn Chi-Town Son Volt Fans: Son Volt is playing the House of Blues January 17th. I stumbled upon this on accident, so I don't think it's being publicized very well. Anyway, if you're interested, you can buy tickets now.

RAR! Two weeks after my visit.

Are they touring all of a sudden, or is this a one-off?

But a House of Blues gig...it might make me feel dirty...

But a House of Blues gig...it might make me feel dirty...And you know that's how you like it!

If it wasn't a Thursday night I'd seriously consider making a little trip out to see that show.

Andy, the boss is supposed to go to the party. This is where you get to see your employees get drunk and do stupid things that you can hold over them for a year and not have to give them raises. By doing this, you then get a better raise since there is more money left for you.

You should have gone.:D

Only cos I wouldn't get home until 2am Chief - and then have to be up at 5 for work the next day. The buggers are too cheap to spring for a Friday party!!!

I absolutely loved Chicago's HOB when I was there last September :)

I went to a show there once, years ago. I remember having a good time, drinking lots, listening to someone I wasn't familiar with, drinking some more, buying some trinkets for friends back home, drinking lots, and then waking up the next morning at the motel with no idea when we got back. Of course, we had a designated driver so we could drink lots and have a good time at Dan Akroyd's place.
Oh, and I kind of remember drinking a bunch.
Yeah, House of Blues, what a great place.
I think...
