"Pretty little hairdo" does it a bit more than Tailspin...but both are epic!

Save It For A Rainy Day.

A perfect little song.

I am just curious......what constitutes a "little" song? How do you define it?
To say that something is little is comparative, therefor if there is a little song then there must be a big song. Or for that matter even a medium song.
What are they?

And secondly.....
SIFARD edges out Tailspin for me.

I wish people wouldn't use acronyms for song titles (in this instance) or band names as it can get confusing.....sometimes it takes me ages to work what the person is actually talking about.
Obviously in this case it was easy to work out.....but it is pure laziness!!!

Imagine what the thread would look like if Eric had used acronyms.
Battle 1: T defeats STTD
Battle 2: SIFARD defeats ATRR and EOS
Battle 3: OMP defeats CTTR and DLTWGIYW
Battle 4: A defeats M and YLSY
Battle 5: TTT defeats WISYIH
Battle 6: STTD defeats TTT
Battle 7: A defeats OMP

It's like some enigma code that needs breaking.

Possible "little" song definitions for SIFARD:
1. Only 3:03 minutes long. (short/little)
2. It isn't fast paced. Gary isn't yelling the lyrics, and it's a very smooth/flowing sound. A loud song would be something like Real Light.

I could be wrong. I have no musical abilities.

I don’t go about using the term ‘little song’ for numerous songs. It’s just something that comes up and seems to fit, and that is confirmed when people agree or seem to agree that the term fits the song well without there being some official criteria that it must adhere to.

A short-ish song, simple in construction, light on instrumentation, simple lyrics and phrasing with a hook that makes it feel like how a good traditional hit single would sound. It’s not dense instrumentation wise, it’s not obtuse construction wise, the lyrics are not challenging or dark and it’s not a long song.

As for the acronyms, it’s not that big a deal to work out what is being said. Sometimes it's handy when you are typing out the same thing often, we're only on a music forum. You’d never make a Grateful Dead fan!!

Spot on.
Tailspin is by far the best song on that cd.
One of the best they have ever done.

Not even close.
